Kittiwake acquisition extends Parker’s Condition Monitoring capability.

Parker’s recent acquisition of condition monitoring experts, Kittiwake Developments Ltd, has led to a significant expansion of the Parker range of condition and contamination monitors and analysers with complementary product offerings. The Parker Kittiwake Littlehampton location in Southern England specialises in on-line and on-site solutions for condition monitoring of production critical plant and machinery. From additional UK manufacturing locations, Parker now offers customer solutions in Acoustic Emissions technology and Continuous Emissions monitoring systems.

An initial offering of five Parker branded products have been launched that provide an introduction to Kittiwake technology and product innovation.

Parker’s Thetford UK based Condition Monitoring Centre continues to provide a hub of fluid contamination monitoring product excellence with worldwide proven solutions in hydraulic system monitoring and fuel condition analysis both online and offline

Let’s take a look at the first phase products to be introduced by Parker through its Sales Companies and Distributor network.

  • The MHC Bearing Checker is a unique hand-held instrument, providing maintenance engineers with a quick, easy to operate method of analysing bearing condition and lubrication state. The instrument operates by monitoring high frequency Acoustic Emissions signals naturally generated by deterioration in rotating machinery, giving the user condition related information in the easiest possible form.
  • Extension of oil lifetime contributes to lower cost of ownership and supports sustainability programmes, overall minimizing waste. To answer the vital question whether the oil is still useable, a new package of solutions is available for quick validation in the field. The family of DIGI Test Kits measure oil parameters such as water in oil, insolubles and TBN; ideal not only for quick validation, but also for oil samples from equipment that cannot be shipped to a laboratory.
  • TheANALEX fdMplus ferrous debris monitor is a highly accurate instrument designed to measure the contamination of an oil sample with ferrous wear metal particles. Suitable for use across a wide range of industrial and marine applications, the ANALEX fdMplus provides you with the ability to successfully monitor you equipment and prevents costly machinery downtime.
  • Fast on-site decisions can be made with the Parker Kittiwake Heated Viscometer which provides laboratory grade oil condition results in minutes. The ability to test at the point of use enables engineers and facilities managers to detect out-of-spec fuels or lubricants before equipment damage occurs.

Parker Kittiwake awarded ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard


Following a detailed technical review and assessment process carried out by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), Parker Kittiwake is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the ISO 14001 Environmental Management certificate.


ISO 14001 Environmental Management is an internationally recognised standard outlining how to implement an effective environmental management system. It recognises investment in reducing waste and energy use, improving efficiency and meeting legal obligations.
